The Eastern Cape Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform recently hosted a delegation from the University of Illinois(UIUC) in the United States. This was a return visit following the signing of an MOU between DRDAR and UIUC in 2017. The purpose of the

visit was to start the implementation of the MOU. During the visit, DRDAR MEC Nomakhosazana Meth said the province has “enormous agricultural potential for both crops and livestock production”. The MEC said she would to ensure that the partnership with the University

succeeds and “over performs”.
