I have appointed Mr Andile Fani, who is the Chief of Staff in the office of the MEC to be the Spokesperson of the MEC for the Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform.

Mr Fani will be responsible for the media enquiries, media relations matters for the Office of the MEC effective from today. Members of the media are encouraged to direct all the media issues specifically for my office to Mr Fani.

The Department’s Communications and customer Care Chief Directorate headed by Mr Mvusiwekhaya Sicwetsha will continue being responsible for the broader departmental communications as per the integrated communications strategy of the department.

Issues pertaining to the programs of the department should be directed the Communications and Customer Care Chief Directorate.
